India Arie has one of the best voices in the R&B business. She has a really raspy and warm voice. Alex "Loggy" Lagemann, a wide receiver on the Cal football team, has recently become a rapper. He is surprisingly really good. He focuses on his lyrics and has a funky style, similar to Asher Roth. He raps about his 20 year old college life on the West Coast. His lyrics are about things he knows and things he acutally does. He released his mixtape in january called "Up All Night." Lupe Fiasco is one of my favorite rappers because you can actually understand what he is saying and because his lyrics are interesting and make you think. Instead of talking about money, violence, and drugs, which is the subject of choice for a lot of rappers, Lupe's rhymes are meaningful and complex.
